Actor Biography

Amy Hill voices Mae Mae, Bandit's Southern mama oozing with Southern hospitality who happens to be the right-hand woman of a cult leader, in Freeform's new animated comedy "Praise Petey."

Hill's television and film credits number over 200. Many remember her from her memorable turns in "50 First Dates" or as Ice Cube's neighbor in "Next Friday." "Mack and Rita," starring Diane Keaton, marked a joyful return to the big screen in 2022.

On television, she recurred on "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend," "UnReal," "Preacher" and "Mom." She's currently a regular on NBC's "Magnum P.I." As a voice actor, she's been heard in numerous animated series or films, including "Kung Fu Panda" animated series and "American Dad."

Hill is also accomplished on stage. She has worked with regional theaters such as The Mark Taper Forum, Berkeley Rep, Seattle Rep, Actors Theater of Louisville and The Public Theater in New York. She appeared on Broadway in Lincoln Center's "Twelfth Night," which also aired on PBS' "Live from Lincoln Center." She is proud to consider East West Players her Los Angeles theater home, where she has also performed, directed and taught.
