Remote messaging

Designer 7.0 allows the form designer to include a new range of features made possible by remote messaging. Remote messaging allows an e-form to connect with live data by accessing a remote Server. The possibilities with remote messaging are numerous:

• Remote signing of forms
• Directly submitting a form
• Accessing data from a database for pre-filling a form
• Updating drop down lists with current database information
• Accessing information servers, such as live weather reports

Integrated Help Browser

Formatta Designer allows an integrated help browser to be combined with an e-form. The integrated help browser provides quick access to relevant instructions and links. These help browsers can be simple instructions or a detailed interview process that will guide the user while they complete the form.

Signature of overlapping fields

Many times a form needs multiple signatures. Each signature will lock appropriate fields in the form. In some instances these fields overlap. A supervisor may sign a form after an employee has signed it and lock the same fields as the employee. Overlapping signatures prevent the employee from un-signing a document and making changes without the supervisor’s approval.
